Concert Orchestra
MMS 8th Grade Concert Orchestra: Selected students who demonstrate a high level of commitment and dedication may participate in a combination of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments which forms the MMS Concert Orchestra. Students will perform several school concerts throughout the year. The student must commit to attend all rehearsals and concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are held after school on a weekly basis and taught by MMS orchestra director, Mrs. Hannah Watanabe and MMS band directors Mr. Ryan Howe & Mr. Steven Agasa. Students will use their concert uniform for performances.

CONCERT ORCHESTRA STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:
- Students are expected to attend rehearsals every Thursday from 2:45-4:30 p.m.
- Students may only miss TWO rehearsals (excused AND unexcused) a semester. If a student misses more than two rehearsals, he/she may not be allowed to continue participating in the Concert Orchestra.
- Students are expected to be on time for rehearsals and stay for the entire rehearsal. A tardy or early release from a rehearsal counts as 1/2 an absence. (TWO tardies = ONE absence)
- Students are expected to practice the music on their own and come prepared to rehearsals.
- Students are expected to have their music, instrument, and a pencil/eraser at all rehearsals.
