Band Camp

Explore the exciting traditions of the Moanalua Middle School Band at the annual MMS Band Camp for participating Symphonic and Intermediate Band students.  This fun and educational event is held in February.
The objectives of the MMS Band Camp are as follows:
  1. Provide intensive training in music through combined band rehearsals, chamber music ensemble performances, sectional rehearsals, workshops, and clinics.
  2. Provide opportunities to develop cooperative learning and living skills - lodging, as well as other activities to promote healthy peer relationships, bonding through reinforcement from the GLO’s, and building friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
  3. Expose students to various styles and expertise from other local music teachers, conductors, and professional musicians from the Royal Hawaiian Band & the former Honolulu Symphony.
